Assign a training plan. The dashboard instantly calculates total ground contacts per session, per week, and per mesocycle. No spreadsheets. No mental math. No forgetting to update your tallies.

Every exercise in your plan has ground contact data baked in. Depth jumps? 1 contact per rep. Box jump sequences? We count each landing. The system knows the difference between a single-response and a multiple-response drill—and tracks accordingly.

Weekly Volume Visualization

See your athlete’s training load at a glance with clear, color-coded weekly charts:

  • Green zone: Volume within recommended ranges for their training age
  • Yellow zone: Approaching upper limits—worth monitoring
  • Red zone: Overload territory—time to pull back

The visualization updates in real-time as you modify plans. Drag a session, add reps, swap exercises—watch the numbers adjust instantly.

Overtraining Alerts

The dashboard doesn’t just show data. It watches for problems.

When an athlete’s weekly ground contacts exceed safe thresholds (based on their experience level and recent training history), you’ll see a warning. Before the athlete feels it. Before the injury happens.

Ground Contact Guidelines Built In

Not sure what “safe” volume looks like? We’ve built research-backed guidelines directly into the dashboard:

Beginner athletes (< 1 year plyometric training)

  • 80-100 ground contacts per session
  • 2 sessions per week maximum

Intermediate athletes (1-3 years)

  • 100-120 contacts per session
  • 2-3 sessions per week

Advanced athletes (3+ years)

  • 120-140 contacts per session
  • 3-4 sessions per week

These aren’t rigid rules—they’re guardrails. The dashboard uses them to contextualize your programming and flag potential issues.

How to Use It

The Training Load Dashboard is available now for all PlyoPlanner accounts.

For existing plans:

  1. Open any athlete’s profile
  2. Click the new Training Load tab
  3. View automatic calculations for all assigned plans

For new programming:

  1. Build or assign a training plan
  2. Watch ground contacts calculate in real-time
  3. Adjust volume using the visual feedback
  4. Monitor the weekly dashboard as athletes train

The dashboard works with every plan—whether you built it yourself or pulled it from the template library.
